Bernie Anderson Jr. will provide live theatre pipe organ accompaniment for the F.W. Murnau film "The Last Laugh." This feature length film is a perfect example of post-WW I German Expressionism. Murnau pioneered several cinematic techniques, and the camera work in this film shows this creativity. The Last Laugh, oddly enough for a silent film, has only one screen card with words; the actors are required to get their message across without any help from a dialog screen.Bernie Anderson Jr. is well known, especially in the metropolitan NYC area, as a talented, perceptive virtuoso when scoring a silent film. He has played for dozens of films on the Chaminade High School hybrid and is perfectly at home with it.
