ENCORE!
WEDNESDAY, July 9th

Back by popular demand again this year will be the optional ENCORE DAY in hilly and scenic CINCINNATI, a 2-hour trip from Indianapolis. Our first event will be a concert in the Ron Wehmeier Music Room containing Ron’s immaculate and perfectly restored 4-manual Wurlitzer. Our guest artist will be the one and only JELANI EDDINGTON .

Lunch will be served in the Living Room of the former Fleischmann Mansion, now known as Greenacres, with its original Aeolian Duo-Art organ newly-restored by Ron Wehmeier that will serenade us during our meal, after which we will tour the home. We will also have a tour of the downtown Music Hall, home of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and will see their Ballroom where the former Emery (now Albee) Theatre Wurlitzer is being rebuilt and will be installed by Ron Wehmeier (but not in time for our visit, unfortunately). After a tour and a 30-minute private concert by organist Robert Schaffer at the famed Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, KY, we will board our paddle-wheel craft for a scenic 3-hour cocktail and dinner cruise on the Ohio River, a lovely way to end the day before returning to Indianapolis.
