Donna Parker Named New Membership Secretary

The Board of Directors of the American Theatre Organ Society has named organist, administrator and teacher Donna Parker as the new Membership Secretary for the organization.  Her duties began immediately upon the announcement at the ATOS Annual Convention in Los Angeles.

Ms. Parker replaces Jim Merry who had held the position of Executive Secretary for some seven years.  Mr. Merry announced several months ago that he would leave the post at the end of his contract, and is providing great assistance in the transition.

Ms. Parker, who just completed a six-year term on the ATOS Board of Directors, has held many positions within the organization, including Publisher of Theatre Organ, a job she will retain for the future.

In making the announcement, both the Search Committee and the Board of Directors commented on Ms. Parker’s strong corporate background with Rodgers and others; her vast familiarity with ATOS programs and functions; and her connection with the membership and chapter leaders as among the leading reasons she was chosen for the job.

There were 13 applicants for the position.
