Buddy Cole Demonstrates the Theatre Organ

Buddy Cole (1916-1964) built a studio adjacent to his North Hollywood home to house his theatre pipe organ. Shortly after the organ was installed, he recorded a demonstration of the ranks of pipes in that instrument that are common to nearly all theatre organs. You can hear these different tone colors as you listen to the short recordings below.
bullet Flute
bullet String
bullet Vox Humana
bullet Diapason
bullet Brass (Reed Pipes)
bullet Tibia
bullet Percussions and Toy Counter
bullet Full Ensemble
Buddy Cole recorded only two LP albums on this instrument before his untimely death in 1964. A cut from one of those out-of-print albums can be heard in its entirety:

Shine On, Harvest Moon (Nora Bayes-Norworth)
