Board of Directors Nominations
On behalf of the American Theatre Organ Society (ATOS), we cordially invite all members who have maintained continuous membership in good standing for at least the last two years to consider applying for one of three (3) open positions on our Board of Directors for the 2026-2029 term.
ATOS is committed to the preservation and promotion of the theatre pipe organ through an array of comprehensive programs and initiatives. We are seeking candidates dedicated to advancing our mission, expanding membership, and securing resources essential to key programs such as the Summer Youth Adventure, Young Organists Competition, and George Wright Scholarship. Board members are expected to attend scheduled board meetings and work sessions (via zoom) and the in-person meeting during the annual ATOS Convention, actively participate on at least one committee, contribute to strategic planning processes, and serve as ambassadors for ATOS. Your involvement will bring valuable expertise to our governance, strengthen informed decision-making, and enhance our capacity to support the theatre organ community with distinction.
Each applicant shall furnish an essay, not to exceed one-hundred-fifty (150) words, describing how their background, knowledge, and skills can positively contribute to the needs of ATOS, based upon the CRITERIA stated above. In addition, the nominee must provide the following information: Name, complete address, current occupation, telephone number(s), e-mail address and photograph suitable for use in the election materials.
