News: Famous Wurlitzer Returns to Hollywood

The Twentieth Century Fox Studio Wurlitzer, famous for its use in countless movie scores ranging from John Williams’ “Home Alone,” to Rodgers and Hammerstein's “The Sound of Music” returned to service last month in the new release now in theatres, “The House With a Clock in Its Walls.” Now installed in composer Nathan Barr’s Bandrika Recording Studio, Nathan's score for the film features the organ, most prominently during the closing credits where the 3/19 Wurlitzer performs solo for the duration. Mark Herman is listed as organist in the closing credits and the organ aptly ends this film that is a Gothic mixture of comedy and magic.
