2/10 Wurlitzer - Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center
Organ
Location
***NOTE: Museum will be closed after May 16, 2026 for renovation for about two years. The organ will not be accessible during this time.
The 1919 Wurlitzer pipe organ from the local Liberty Theater was restored and installed in the Museum’s performance center in 1989. Curtains behind the organ open to view the full installation, featuring pipes and a variety of operational musical instruments used to add sound effects to organ accompaniments. After relocation, the organ was modified by the addition of a piano roll player that allows the organ to be demonstrated by the Museum staff. There is also provision for a player piano to be played at the organ console, but no such piano is currently connected. Other than that, the organ is maintained and is fully functional. It is played often.
